Remove a Mark From Your Own Photo is intended for images you own, drafts you created, or files where you have permission to remove a mark, date stamp, logo, or test overlay. It should not be used to bypass licensing, remove creator credit, or republish protected work without permission.
The tool works by marking a region and applying a best-effort fill. Simple marks over plain skies, walls, paper, or blurred backgrounds are easier to clean than transparent logos across faces, fabric, product labels, or detailed patterns. For ordinary text overlays, Remove Text from Photo may be a better fit.
Selection tips for cleaner results
Start with the smallest brush or rectangle that fully covers the watermark. Leave a little margin around letters or logo edges, but avoid selecting too much surrounding detail. If the first pass looks smeared, clear the mask and try a smaller selection in multiple passes.
Always compare the result before downloading. Important areas such as eyes, hands, signatures, serial numbers, and branded product details can distort easily. For privacy edits where perfect reconstruction is not needed, Pixelate Image is often safer because it clearly hides the selected area instead of pretending to restore it.
